Trademark Registration Steps

The registration of a Trademark requires the following steps:

1) Search of name – Feasibility Study
Our bureau searches for the background of the name to be registered.
Such study includes the phonetic or grammatical similarities that may exists, as well as the technical recommendation in order to adequate the legal protection required by the trademark, determining the categories to be protected within the activity performed by the person requesting the registration. We will inform you if the name has already been registered and the possibilities you may have to register such name.

2) Submission of forms and documents required
Once the feasibility study has been carried out and with the required documents, we submit the registration request.

3) Follow-up of the request until the property title is granted
This stage consists of the follow-up of the registration process and the contingencies that may appear during such process. (Objections, Observations and requirements of the Official Body). In the event of no objections, the registration request continues until the property title is granted)

You can request the registration by sending us the forms (we will provide such forms previously by e-mail) by mail to our offices, which should bear your signature. Said forms will be then signed by our registered agent in order to submit the request. Once the registration has been entered, you will receive a copy as proof of the request.
